| Zac |
Zac is a boy who is always on top of things except when it comes to homework. One day he went to school and had forgotten his homework.
Mr Vavalid over to Zac and said, "Where is your homework?"
"I forgot it," Zac said feeling guilty.
"Oh is that so? Well I ....." Mr Vavalid said.
"I'll have it tomorrow though, I promise," Zac replied
"Alright then," said Mr Vavalid.
That night Zac went home and done his homework. He left his homework on the table and went to bed.
Zac woke up to find his Mum shouting at him. He had over slept! He bounced up and grabbed a granola bar picked up his bag and left with his sister (Sarah).
Forgetting his homework, Zac left the house. Sarah and Zac had to run to school but they were still late.
"Alright children get your homework out please," Mr Vavalid commanded.
Zac's seat was still empty! Mr Vavalid became suspicious that he hadn't done his homework and didn't want to go to school.
Finally Zac came in. He tiptoed over to his seat and sat down.
Zac waited to be told off for being late. Mr Vavalid eyed him carefully and walked over.
"Why are you late Zac?" asked Mr Vavalid.
"Oh I woke up la-" Zac tried to say.
"Never mind! Where is your homework?" Mr Vavalid said.
"Aaahhh!" Zac said with a sly smile,"It's in my bag."
Zac searched his bag thoroughly but his homework wasn't there. Everyone stared at him.
At last Zac bravely said,"I don't have it sir. I must have left it on my kitchen table."
"Zac!!" Mr Vavalid said, he walked back over to his desk.
"Now then, I have a announcement," said Mr Vavalid, "We are going to start something called helping paws. I will pick someone to do a certain job. Otto, you will get stationary out when we need it. Tess, you will redecorate the pin board outside weekly. Kaine, you'll be going to the other teachers passing them notes from me. Lilly, you will clean the chalk board at the end of each lesson. Lavender, you'll sharpen the pencils. Zac, you will collect homework in everyday and I expect to see six books."
The next day Zac remembered his homework because of his new job. Mr Vavalid was very pleased as he got six homework books. The helping paws really did work!
